Inspired By Legacy, Designed For Life
Some of my earliest memories are of my mom in Somalia, always wearing gold whether she was out with friends or just running errands. In our East African and Middle Eastern traditions, jewelry wasn’t saved for special occasions. It was part of everyday life, a reflection of culture, identity, and pride.
When it came to my own life, I carried that love of jewelry with me. But as an active adult constantly working out, on the go, and chasing after kids, I found myself taking jewelry off so it wouldn’t get damaged. It was frustrating. Traditional gold and fine pieces felt too precious for my daily routine, and affordable pieces tarnished almost instantly.
Lei & Mar grew out of that gap. I wanted jewelry that captured the elegance and meaning I grew up with but was also practical, durable, and designed for modern life. Jewelry you don’t have to think twice about, whether you’re at the gym, in the office, or out at night.

Lei & Mar is named after my two daughters, who inspire everything I do. This brand is my love letter to them, and to everyone carving out their own story.
